Once upon a time there were two witches. One had blood-red nails and the other had teeth that glowed in the dark. Their names were Hallo and Ween.
One day they found a trapdoor. They went inside. They found themselves in a little room with a closet, a bed and trash. Suddenly, they heard footsteps. They hurried inside the closet. Ween used her glow in the dark teeth to help her look around the closet. Suddenly, she heard voices.
"Merlin, how can we find and kill Hallo and Ween?" said one voice.
"I don't know, but I know how they can kill us. They have to get a werewolf's tooth, a bowl of throw-up from a vampire and one of our hairs. As soon as they have all of the things I mentioned, we will die," said Merlin.
"Let's go," said someone.
Hallo and Ween jumped up and opened the door of the closet. They saw someone's hair disappearing up the stairs. Quickly, Ween rushed to the stairs and plucked a hair.
Hallo's mom was a vampire. She was sick. Hallo collected a bowl of throw-up from her.
Then, they went to Werewolf Valley. Most of the werewolves were sleeping. Hallo and Ween carefully pulled out a tooth. They heard a scream as Merlin fell down dead.
Everyone congratulated Hallo and Ween, because Merlin was very evil and they killed him. They got 100,000,000,000 spook dollars each as their reward.

The Haunted Ice Cream Truck
As a fun writing project leading up to one of the spookiest holidays of the year, students in Form 4 (5th and 6th grade) collaborated on a story of ghosts, demons and crazy monsters. Participating students each wrote one or two paragraphs, taking the tale on some interesting twists and turns and revealing some surprising character attributes!
In a little town on the south side of America, there was a kind man called Mr. Blankly. He owned a "walk-in and take" ice cream truck. Many kids would go in and take more than enough ice cream bars. When an adult went in, they never came out. The only adult that came out was Mr. Blankly.

Mr. Blankly was a hunchback with a friendly attitude. He loved children, but never had any of his own. In his free time he would visit the children on his block. At first, when he moved into the neighborhood, people thought he came out of a haunted house! Now people thought he was one of the most joyful and happy men in the world.

awesome 6th graders at Delphi Academy! They were superior to Jack Box with their super-kung-fu-ice-cream-eating powers! Their awesome teachers, Mrs. French Fry and Ms. Tryforosaurus had created that move when they were young students in case of an ice cream monster attack. So they teleported to the ice cream monster and the whole class started eating him super fast.
As he shrunk, the ice cream monster said, "No fair! You can't eat me! I want my mommy! CHEAP GUY!" Soon, the ice cream was gone, but the soul of Mrs. Blankly was still there.
"How do we kill her?" said a student. Then they all had the same idea. They all jumped high to surround her, and in one bite from every person, they ate her. Later in the afternoon, everyone was talking about it saying things like, "That was delicious," or "Best field trip ever!", when Ms. Tryforosaurus said, "I wonder how many calories that was?"
So they looked at a recipe from the ice cream truck:
